I highly recommend taking Pamela’s abstract painting class. She sends info about the classes, paints, required, etc. She does a demo beginning of class and helps students with their art pieces. She’s very pleasant and encourages students to express themselves. Effie L, Summer 2024

I really enjoyed Pam's class and her method of teaching. She had a course outline with lessons that included how to paint still life, portrait and landscape, but she also allowed students to work on their own paintings. She provided individual teaching, enhancing whatever piece the students were working on. I participated in a painting class with a few friends with Pamela Dey. I thoroughly enjoyed the session; Pamela's instruction and guidance was excellent and she provided individual attention as needed. This was my first experience painting and I was able to create my own piece of art. The home studio is well set up and has all of the supplies needed for the painting class. I have had a wonderful time at Pamela's plein air: she is a very gentle artist and very good teacher. I have learnt so many things and really loved my artwork. Very enjoyable class. The teacher did a very good job of balancing the students' wide range of abilities. Pace of the class was good. Energy of the teacher was high as she circulated throughout the class offerrung encouragement and instruction. Pamela is a knowledgable instructor, who is able to impart her knowledge to students in a way that is meaningful and practical. She clearly cares a lot about art and about getting students to understand how to apply the techniques and principles of how to create great paintings.
