In all my Art classes students will gain an understanding on how to use colour to build expressive art, understand colour schemes as well as building on the fundamental art concepts of value, depth, composition and the elements and principals of art.
ABSTRACT ART: LANDSCAPES FLORALS AND FIGURES. Acrylic and Watercolor and mixed media
Monday afternoons 2 -4 pm.
Designed for all levels. Loose style and use movement to make a dynamic, original piece of work that embodies freedom, joy and movement. The class is designed for ongoing learner artists and is motivational to keep your creative juices flowing, find fluidity and be bold. Explore all different styles of contemporary abstract art. Also learn a fair bit of drawing while blending in figures, birds, faces, bees, animals into your paintings to create attractive pieces for friends and family.

ACRYLIC PAINTING: BASICS AND BEYOND
Mondays evenings 6 – 8 pm; Spring: Mar 31st – Jun 2nd
Designed for all levels. Topics include colour theory and mixing, composition, brush handling and how to use mediums, washes, glazes and impasto. We will do some drawing exercises periodically, along with painting. The class is designed for ongoing learner artists and motivational to keep your creative juices flowing.

DRAWING with PEN INK WATERCOLOR
Thursday afternoons 2 - 4 pm.
Designed for all levels. Learn how to use pen and ink and watercolor to create unique works of art on paper. Previous drawing experience recommended but not required. We will do some drawing exercises periodically, along with painting. The class is designed for ongoing learner artists and motivational to keep your creative juices flowing and paint your travel experiences, urban scene, cities landscapes people., florals, gardens.
You can purchase blocks of 10 classes, Cost 200: Jan 23rd – Apr 10th.
Spring: Apr 17 - (No class on the Apr 24th, May 15, May 29) – Jul 10th
OIL PAINTING: TECHNIQUES AND PAINTALONGS
Tuesday evenings 6 - 9 pm.
Designed for all levels. Topics include colour theory and mixing, composition, brush handling and how to use oil paints. How to start a painting and apply paints in layers. Previous drawing experience recommended but not required. We will do some drawing exercises periodically, along with painting. The class is designed for ongoing learner artists and motivational to keep your creative juices flowing. Topics covered include all the supplies: brushes, palette knives, oil paints, palettes, surfaces, and more. There will be a demo and a fresh new painting every class and a video will be available for following along after the class.
